I met Jim Ryun and his wife, Anne Ryun, at a Good Stuff Eatery in DC with my parents for lunch today.

Jim Ryun is an incredibly accomplished man, listed by ESPN as the greatest high-school athlete of all time. He was also an Olympic runner, and a US Congressman for the state of Kansas. My father, who ran cross country in school, followed his career closely.

I had met Jim Ryun before, when I was around 8 or 9 years old. My father actually chose my name, Ryan, in honor of Jim Ryun. So, there's a fun fact for a blog. I know this is short but I'm really just trying to get in the habit of writing every day, so this is half-blog half-journal, which isn't something I plan to do long term. I still don't know what I'm doing with this website, but I did add comment sections (on all of my posts), so if anyone wants to add their two cents anywhere, I am eager to hear from you.

Final note: Colleti's Smokehouse burger is awesome, btw.
